Base, Inc. Expands their Business at BNSF Logistics Center Oklahoma City

Date
Aug 07, 2020

When Base, Inc., first heard of the opportunity to locate their business at the upcoming BNSF Logistics Center Oklahoma City, their president, Scott Dickman, knew that's where they wanted to be. "Base has multiple facilities capable of transloading today in Tulsa, OK, said Dickman, " but we have been looking to expand in the growing market of Oklahoma City because we knew this market could present many opportunities due to its continued growth, its proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth market, and a shortage of independent transload facilities in the area." In mid-June 2020, the dream of expanding their business became a reality when Base became operational at BNSF Logistics Center Oklahoma City.

Base signed a lease for a 13.1-acre site capable of transloading multiple products. Within a week of signing this lease, Base was able to receive lumber cars on the existing unit train site. Until the civil construction is complete, Base will be up and running on this existing site. Looking to the future, Base plans to expand into additional commodities as well.
