Industrial Products Network Update for Friday, November 4, 2022

Date
Nov 4, 2022

Operating teams continue to focus on aligning resources with freight volumes and collaborating with customers to drive greater network productivity and efficiency. Total volume increased last week and was the highest weekly level moved by the railroad since May. Consistent network performance has enabled us to carry substantial volumes of grain to market, underscoring a solid start to fall harvest.

The first winter weather system of the season brought high wind, freezing temperatures, and snow to the Pacific Northwest this week before moving east across the Rockies. Winter action plans were implemented in advance of the storm to pre-position resources and address any disruptions as quickly as possible. Strong storms and high winds, with wind gusts up to 70 mph, are expected in Central Texas and Oklahoma today as this system moves east across the Southern Plains into the Mississippi Valley. High wind warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect for most of the Northwest as another weather system moves through the area through the weekend. BNSF teams are monitoring forecasts and will respond to any disruptions as quickly as possible.
